Place
squash and stock or water in a large skillet and
bring to a boil over medium high heat. Reduce
the heat to low, cover and simmer until the
squash is tender, about 20 minutes. Push squash
to one side to make room for the butter. Add
butter or olive oil and garlic and cook for
about 3 minutes. Sprinkle the squash with
remaining ingredients and cook, stirring
occasionally, for about 5 minutes.
Tavola,
meaning "table" in Italian, is our foods
feature and the core of what hotel represents. We invite
your dishes based on old-world family recipes lovingly
updated for month's palettes. From traditional tastes
like your signature lasagna, to interesting twists -
like a boned duckling stuffed with orange-scented
chicken breast, we invite you to provide exquisite meals
for the City Guide- from your kitchen to ours.
We
offer a sample of staples from the kitchens of our
favorite chefs: A selection of distinctive flavored oils
and choice vinegars along with robust and sublime
coffees and teas from exotic locations. Keep these items
in your pantry, and like our team of experts, you too
can dress up a salad, pasta or a roast chicken, make a
quick appetizer or a quick dinner.
Almost
every town in the world has its own bakery and sweet shop.
From rich loaves with chewy, golden crusts to creamy
cannoli in crunchy pastry shells, Cityguide Recipes
Column carries on
the tradition and adds to it with authentic American
desserts like Key Lime Pie and New York Cheesecake.
Charcuterie,
literally "cooker of meat" in French, is
actually the art of preparing and preserving meats. We
use the term to refer to the foods that start a meal or
party. At Cityguide Recipes' column, we bring almost a century of
expertise to our charcuterie department, with the finest
cured meats and flavorful cheeses that the culinary
world has to offer. We spend part of each year traveling
around the world, discovering the highest quality, best
tasting foods to share with you.
