‘Minato’ The Japanese Restaurant   Menrui

 

Menrui is a Japanese word meaning noodles. Noodles have a long history in Japan, they are divided into distinctive types the buck wheat ‘soba’ noodles, thin and brownish gray in color which associated in Tokyo and Northern part of Japan. Wheat Noodles ‘Udon’ a round flat white noodles originated in Osaka and southern Part of Japan.

 

Minato will bring in Dubai the finest noodles in Japan w/c diners will enjoy there meal, like slipping hot Japanese soup w/c to really enjoy noodles, one must imbibe them fast with cooling intake of breath, to this involve a sucking sound.

 

Noodles Festival

 

These chilled noodles are traditionally served on basketwork ‘plates’ or in a square bamboo boxed with slatted bottom, accompanied by a cup of clear, strong, cold dipping sauce. Sharp ‘Wasabi’ horseradish and finely chopped green onion are mixed into dipping sauce as desired. With the summer starting fishmarket will introduce a re freshing exotic dessert, which has been well known in Thailand for more than four hundred years. Our Thai Chef will prepare his own sweet sauces with tempting tropical fruits and authentic Thai Dishes, that make the  month a little cooled down.

The promotion will be on from 8 AM- 10 PM. The variety of exotic hawaiian choices will melt in your mouths. Pineapple Upside down cake, Guava Mousse cake, Banana Mousse Cake, Papaya and Rambuttan Bavarois and Lychee Tart to name a few mouth watering desserts.

 






Bass Hotels And Resorts Wins Trophy For Best 
Co Operate Team At The Salon Culinaire,01


The Bass Hotels and Resorts team was the first best co operate team trophy at the recent Salon Culinaire which was part of the Gulf Food Exhibition held in Dubai world trade centre. 

Chef Otto Weibel, Chairman of the judges and president of Singapore's Chef's association, explained to the press that due to the growing number of hotels lot of chains have multi presence in the gulf. And particularly in UAE including Dubai's own Jumeirah hospitality group, that is why we have decided to add a co operate team event to the competition. 

The medal count of the contest are as follows 3 points for each gold, 2 points for silver and 1 point for a bronze medal from day 1 of the salon. It was a 3 team race, which bass hotels headed by Dubai intercontinental Hotel.

Mr. Raymond Khalife, Area President of Bass Hotels and Group says ' I am delighted to read the results of the Salon Culinaire. Congratulations to the team, Dubai IHC has again confirmed it's reputation as the Eating Place in the UAE'. Chef Uwe Micheel and other Executive Chef's promised to have a even better team ready for the next Salon Culinaire 2003.
