Bernd Kirsch

Born in Germany, Bernd Kirsch studied bakery for 3 years in Saarland and then continued his studies to become a Chef for 2 and a half years in Black Forest. His Hotel career began in Germany with the Romantic Hotels Group.

In 1990 he moved to Switzerland and joined the Leading Hotel where he stayed for 2 years before moving to Brussels. In 1993 Bernd moved to Spain to work with a Private Swiss Hotel Chain before he was called to London to join the Famous The Dorchester Hotel.

In 1997 he decided to come to the Emirates and to join the Beach Rotana Hotel as Sous Chef and then moved on to be the Executive Chef at the Hotel. 

Throughout his 14 years of experience around the world Bernd has been responsible for a wide variety of outlets, all within 5 star properties. His knowledge of both Western and Eastern cultures contributes to the exciting outlook for Beach Rotana Hotel.

Indian Executive Chef Sunil Gomes has earned his degree in Hotel Management from Institute of Catering Technology in Bombay. The early stage of his career in Culinary Arts began in the busy cosmopolitan city of UAE way back in the year 1977. He joined the leading Hilton Group International, renowned for its hospitality industry. 


Chef Sunil has been in the hospitality industry for more than two decades, 23 years to be exact. Nothing can be so rewarding than patience, hardwork and dedication. He rose from the rank, so to speak. He started as Commis 2nd in the year 1977. His sacrifices, loyalty, dedication of his service in only one Company are so enduring. While many Chefs have come and gone and have worked in many hotels. But not to Chef Sunil. You can test his loyalty and dedication of his service. Because of his hard work, patience and time-tested loyalty, Hilton International had given him a chance for his career growth. He underwent various trainings and courses focusing on his career development held in international countries such as Switzerland, Egypt, to name a few.

He started his career in Hilton Al Ain and Abu Dhabi for 2 years (1977-1978). Thereafter, he joined Dalma Residence, also operated by Hilton as Cook from 1978-1983 and as Kitchen-in-Charge for 1984-85. He joined Corniche Residence Hilton in 1986 as Chef de Partie Saucier. He is presently an Executive Chef of Corniche Residence Hilton.
